What is a tongue piercing?
A tongue is pierced by placing the tongue in between a clamp. The clamp has an open space in the middle. This is where a long needle is inserted. A barbell type piece of jewelry is placed in the hole that was just made by the needle. A round ball is placed over either end of the barbell so it doesn’t slide out of the tongue. Anesthetic is not needed to perform this procedure since it only takes a few seconds to complete.
